The 5K begins at Tri-City United Public School – Montgomery Elementary & Middle School and finishes on 1st Street near the White Front Saloon. The Kids' Half Mile starts on the north end of 1st Street in historic downtown Montgomery with registration located in the Center Stage Dance parking lot. Walk-up registration is available at the listed locations.
Entry fees differ by event and by registration timing. Pre-registration and walk-up registration options are offered; only pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt. The 5K and the 2-mile walk have overall awards for first, second, and third place male and female finishers, plus 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals in each age group. Awards may be picked up at the finish line area.
The Bun Run began in 1980 and was changed to a true 5K distance in 2013. A fitness walk was added in 1988 and standardized to two miles in 1990. The event has attracted a wide range of participants over the years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
