The Circle the Lake run is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Circle Lake in rural Rice County, Minnesota. Distances offered:

The event is a charity race sponsored by the Circle Lake Association. Proceeds support projects to improve the lake watershed. The race starts and ends at the historic Millersburg School House. The route follows part of Dodd Road, a road linked to an 1876 historical event.
Course and race details
Courses run along the shores of Circle Lake over rolling hills on a mix of paved and dirt roads. Wildlife commonly seen includes bald eagles, osprey, deer, ducks, and pelicans. The event is open to competitive racers, families, kids, seniors, and dogs. Participants may use iPods but are asked to keep volume low to hear traffic.
All races are chip-timed. Mile markers will be posted and water and sports drinks are available at locations along the course. After the race, a complimentary drink is available at Boonie’s Grill. The event is held about 20 minutes south of Burnsville, Minnesota, and occurs two weeks before the Twin Cities Marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
