5ish Fun Run
The 5ish Fun Run is an annual community fundraising event organized by West Broadway Youth Outreach (WBYO) to support Winnipeg's youth. The 13th edition is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026. The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and is presented as suitable for first-time participants, families, and those seeking a light warm-up event.
The route begins and ends at Mulvey Elementary School (750 Wolseley Ave). It travels west on Wolseley Avenue, crosses Omand's Creek via the footbridge, heads east on Wellington Crescent, and returns to the school. After the run there will be a barbecue, a free massage session, and music in a family-friendly setting.
Race kit pick ups take place in the days before the event at WBYO (646 Portage Ave) and at Mulvey Elementary School. All proceeds support WBYO's free year-round recreational and life skills programs for Winnipeg youth and their families. Volunteers and sponsors are part of the event structure, and a charitable tax receipt is issued for donations of $25 or more. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
