The DeAngelo Williams Foundation 53 Strong DeAthlon 2026
The DeAngelo Williams Foundation presents the 7th annual 53 Strong DeAthlon on August 1, 2026, at Williams Rushing Farm, 7325 South Rocky River Road in Monroe, NC. The event combines a run and multiple bike routes on farm roads and county lanes through scenic Union County farmland.
The format includes a run on a mix of road and farm trails followed by a choice of bike distances. The DeAthlon combines the run with a bike route that includes a memory challenge along the ride. Combined times from the run and timed bike segments determine podium places for each distance; top finishers receive a custom DeAthlon event football signed by DeAngelo Williams.
Bike routes and features:
- The Tiger Trail 20 Mile Ride: one rest stop, one timed segment
- The Carolina Cruise 34 Mile Ride: one rest stop, two timed segments
- The Legacy Length 53 Mile Ride: two rest stops, three timed segments
All routes will be clearly marked, offer refueling stations, and include SAG support. Registration benefits the 53 Strong for Sandra program, which provides free mammography screenings and funds follow up care when needed. Registration items and services listed by the organizer include a swag bag while supplies last, a finisher medal for the first 300 DeAthlon registrants, brunch for ride and DeAthlon participants, and an event T-shirt guaranteed until July 10. Participants who raise $100 or more by July 3, 2026 may qualify for an exclusive training session with DeAngelo Williams; qualifying participants will be notified by July 10.
