5 Towns 5K Run/Walk for Israel
The event takes place on June 7, 2026, at North Woodmere Park, 750 Hungry Harbor Road, North Woodmere, NY 11581. It is presented by the Israel Chesed Center, which supports chayalim, displaced persons, medical volunteers, and people affected by the War in Israel.
Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 440 yards (Kids Fun Run)
The 5K course starts at North Woodmere Park, follows streets in the adjacent neighborhood, and finishes back in the park. The Kids Fun Run is held in the park parking lot and finishes at the same finish line as the 5K. All finishers in the Kids Fun Run receive a medal.
Registration details for the 5K: registration opens March 15, 2026. Pre-registration through May 17, 2026 is listed at $36. Registrations after May 17 and day of event registrations are listed at $50. The Kids Fun Run registration also opens March 15, 2026 and remains available through the event date with a listed fee of $10. All registrants before May 20 will receive a race t-shirt.
Bib pick up and day of registration are held at the North Woodmere Park Administration building located at the northeast end of the parking lot. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in the published age divisions from 9 and under through 85 and over.
