5 Towns 5K Run/Walk for Israel
The event is a community run and walk at North Woodmere Park in North Woodmere, New York. It is presented by the Israel Chesed Center and provides financial support for chayalim, displaced persons, medical volunteers, and others affected by the War in Israel.
The main distance is a 5 kilometer course that begins at the park, goes through the adjacent neighborhood, and returns to the park. A Kids Fun Run of 440 yards is held in the park parking lot and finishes at the same finish line as the 5K. All registrants who register before May 20 will receive a race t shirt.
Registration fees noted in the event materials list a pre registration fee of $36 and a later or day of registration fee of $50. Bib pickup and day of registration are organized at the park administration building. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age divisions from 9 and under through 85 and over.
