5 Peaks Whitemud : Whitemud Park, Edmonton
Whitemud is the second event of the 5 Peaks Northern Alberta Trail Running Series. It takes place at Whitemud Park in Edmonton's river valley and features a varied, technical trail course.
The course includes hard pack, bridge crossings, fast singletrack and a downhill section to the finish. Racers can expect many technical sections that demand agility and alertness to handle roots, rocks and sharp climbs and descents. The enduro course is a single loop.

- 8.3 km Sport run or hike
- 13.4 km Enduro run or hike
Distances and maps may change based on trail conditions up to race day. Individual registration fees do not include swag or finisher medals; these can be purchased during registration or on site while supplies last. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers by gender in each age category and to the top three overall. All swag, awards and prizing must be picked up at the event and will not be mailed.
This is a cup-free event. Water and electrolyte drink are available at the start and finish and at one or more aid stations on course. Participants planning to be out longer than an hour should carry a receptacle for fluids and nutrition. For safety, no dogs, no headphones and no strollers or baby joggers are allowed on the course. Nordic walking poles are allowed only in the non-competitive hiking category. Washroom facilities are available at the start/finish area. Parking is limited and spectators are welcome, with best viewing from the start/finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
