5 Peaks - Gold Bar
The third race in the 5 Peaks Northern Alberta series takes place at Gold Bar Park in Edmonton, located along the North Saskatchewan River. The course includes hard pack trails, technical singletrack, and the section known as Esso Hill.
The route begins with about 2 kilometres of hard pack trail before climbing toward Goldstick Park and entering singletrack. An aid station is located near the top of a steep climb. After the aid station the course returns to singletrack, flows back to the park, goes out to 50 Street and loops back to the park.

Gold Bar includes a kids' race that incorporates singletrack. The event is cup-free; water and electrolyte drink are provided at the start, finish and at one or more aid stations on course. Participants planning to be out longer than an hour should carry a receptacle for liquids and fuel.
Washroom facilities are available at the start/finish area. Parking is limited and spectators are welcome from the start/finish zone. Swag and optional finisher medals are available for purchase through Race Roster or on site while supplies last. Volunteering opportunities are offered for this event.
