Event overview
The Devon race is the final event of the 5 Peaks Northern Alberta Trail Running Series. It takes place at the Devon Lions Campground on river valley trails about 30 minutes south of Edmonton. Trails include single track and hard-packed sections and feature autumn river valley colours.
The course starts with a hill climb to the ridge, then descends on single track to a bluff overlooking the campground. The finish follows about 2 kilometres of hard-packed trail along the river. The Sport course completes the loop once, the Enduro twice, and the Grit three times. The 3 km Kids Challenge climbs to the top of the River Valley Alliance Trail and then finishes downhill.

Practical information and services include no on-site parking with shuttle service from John Maland High School, washrooms at the start/finish, post-race food and an awards ceremony. Sport, Enduro and Grit finishers receive a finisher item; sustainably sourced wooden medals are available to purchase. The event is cup-free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start, finish and at one or more aid stations.
