4th of July Road Race - Pittsfield
The Berkshire Health Systems 4th of July Road Race is an out-and-back 5K held on the parade route of Downtown Pittsfield’s Fourth of July Hometown Parade. The course begins near 500 Wahconah Street and finishes at Wahconah Park (105 Wahconah St, Pittsfield, MA).
Registration has tiered fees with discounted and free options for local students. Online registration closes on July 3. In-store bib pick up is available at the Berkshire Running Center on July 2 and July 3; bib pick up only is available at Wahconah Park on race day. No day-of race registration is offered. There is an online processing fee and no refunds or deferments.
Race benefits support community wellness programs. Event perks include technical shirts for the first registered adults and youth, a Corporate Challenge Trophy, and team awards. Cash prizes are listed for the top three overall finishers and top three finishers in multiple age divisions, and team trophies are awarded for the fastest teams.
Race logistics note that there are restrooms and port-a-potties at Wahconah Park but none at the starting line, and a water station will be available at start and finish. No dogs or pets are allowed on the course. Wheelchairs and assisted strollers are welcomed and organizers can arrange accommodations on request.
