4th of July Road Race - Pittsfield
The event is a 5K out-and-back race held on the parade route of Downtown Pittsfield’s Fourth of July Hometown Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The start line is at 500 Wahconah Street and the finish is at Wahconah Park (105 Wahconah St, Pittsfield, MA 01201). The course follows most of the parade route and benefits community wellness programming through Berkshire Health Systems and the Berkshire Running Foundation.
Registration is open with fee tiers: $35 until July 1 and $40 from July 1 through July 3; registration is free for Berkshire County students in grades K-12. Online registration closes on July 3. There is no day-of-race registration and no refunds or deferments. Technical shirts are provided to the first 1,000 registered adults and the first 300 youth K-12. Corporate sponsorship is offered along with a Corporate Challenge that awards a trophy to the top corporate team.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall finishers and top three finishers in age divisions 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Bib pick up is available in-store at Berkshire Running Center on July 2 and July 3 and at Wahconah Park on race day during the listed pickup window.
