BHS July 4th 5K : Pittsfield, MA
The BHS July 4th 5K is a community road race held in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The USTF-certified 5K course follows the hometown parade route and is lined with large numbers of spectators along both sides of the street.
Registration and fees are specified by the organizer: Berkshire County students in grades K–12 may register for free, with shirts provided to the first 300 student registrants and sizes not guaranteed. General registration is $35 through July 1 at 6:00 pm; in-person registration at the Berkshire Running Center is $40 from July 1 through July 3. Online registration closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 3. There is no day-of registration.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall finishers and awards for the top three in each age division: 0–10, 11–15, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+. The event includes a Corporate Challenge division and a Team division in which the top team is determined by the fastest five runners.
Bib pickup is scheduled at the Berkshire Running Foundation on July 2 and July 3, with an additional pickup time on race morning at Wahconah Park. Proceeds support community wellness programming through Berkshire Health Systems. Sponsorship levels and benefits are offered at multiple price points.
