4Star 4Mile Race
The 11th Annual 4Star 4Mile Race takes place on November 8, 2026 at Dean Savage Memorial Park in Corktown, Detroit. The 4 mile out-and-back loop runs alongside the Detroit Veterans Day Parade on the same course as part of the Annual Salute to Armed Services, passing The Corner, the renovated Michigan Train Station and into Mexican Town before returning to the finish.
Event options include an open 4 mile, a 4 mile category for veterans or active duty military, a ruck division and a virtual 4 mile. The ruck divisions include a commemorative ruck patch; a shirt can be added during registration for an additional fee. Registration opens March 5, 2026. In-person open and veteran categories close May 31, 2026; virtual registration closes September 30, 2026; ruck registration remains open through race day. Listed registration fees vary by category.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at Batch Brewing Company and on race day inside the IBEW building; locations are given at Porter and Trumbull. Awards are presented for top overall male and female, top masters (40 and up) male and female, overall military/veteran male and female, and 10-year age group awards. Proceeds support the annual Detroit Veterans Day Parade. The event’s stated mission is to create a shared experience between the community and veterans and to support veterans’ sense of community and purpose.
