4Star 4Mile Race
The 11th Annual 4Star 4Mile Race takes place on November 8, 2026, at Dean Savage Memorial Park at the corner of Trumbull and Porter Street in Corktown, Detroit. The event runs alongside the Detroit Veterans Day Parade on the same course and at the same time as part of the city's Annual Salute to Armed Services.
The course is an out-and-back loop that follows the parade route, passing The Corner, the renovated Michigan Train Station, and into Mexican Town before returning to the finish line.
Entry options include in-person race categories, ruck divisions, and a virtual option. Ruck participants earn a commemorative ruck patch at the finish. A shirt can be added during registration for $15 and a $5 discount is available for choosing the no shirt option. Registration opens March 5, 2026; deadlines vary by entry type, ranging from May 31 to November 8, 2026, with virtual entries closing September 30, 2026. Registration fees on the posted categories range from $25 to $35.
Packet pick-up is available early on Saturday, November 7, 12:30 to 3:30 PM at Batch Brewing Company, 1400 Porter St, Detroit. Race day packet pick-up is inside the IBEW building, enter from the back parking area at Porter and Trumbull, 8:30 to 11:00 AM.
Awards are given for top overall male and female, top masters 40 and up male and female, overall military/veteran male and female, and 10-year age group awards male and female. The event’s stated mission is to provide a shared experience between the community and veterans. Proceeds support the annual Detroit Veterans Day Parade.
