Event overview
The event takes place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Winston Salem, NC, at HOPE of Winston Salem (355 NW Crawford Pl, Winston Salem, NC 27105). For the fifth consecutive year the event organizer will spend his birthday running his age in miles to raise money and awareness for HOPE of Winston Salem. All proceeds benefit HOPE of Winston Salem and support efforts to curb food insecurity in Forsyth County.

- 48 Mile Relay (teams may include up to six members)
Races start at staggered times to allow participants to spread out. The relay option allows a team to complete the full 48-mile distance in segments.
Course, services and awards
The course is a 0.55 mile crushed-gravel loop at Kimberley Park, just outside downtown Winston Salem. On this loop, 5K participants complete a little under six laps and 10K participants complete just over eleven laps. There will be a post-race gathering with food, drink, and giveaways. Awards include medals for top male and top female finishers in the 5K and 10K, and medals for relay team members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
