3 Days at the Fair - Augusta NJ
3 Days at the Fair is a multi-day timed running festival held at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, New Jersey. The event uses a certified, exactly 1.000 mile flat loop on pavement and crushed gravel (approximately 5% gravel). The loop is lit for nighttime running and a live display shows laps completed and current position.
Timing is managed with a MyLaps ProChip system; runners wear an ankle chip while on course. An aid station at a central building provides hot and cold food, vegetarian and vegan options, access to a walk-in refrigerator, and kitchen access for personal food preparation. Public restrooms and shower facilities are located close to the course. Heated bathrooms are available on site.
On-site facilities include plenty of parking, electric hookups with multiple outlets per pole, grassy areas for tent camping (fees apply on site), and RV parking (fee on site). Pets are allowed on leash. The course is closed to the general public while in use, though the fairgrounds may host other agricultural and community activities elsewhere on the property.
Event policies note that pacers and trekking poles are not permitted, and SWAG is not guaranteed after a specified date. The event offers online and day-of registration; a partial refund policy applies until a fixed deadline. Awards include local artwork for top finishers by gender, lifetime mileage coins, and specialty belt buckles and coins for milestone distances.
