3 Days at the Fair is a multi-day timed running event held at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. The course is a certified 1.000 mile loop on pavement with approximately 5% crushed gravel. A special start line is provided for Marathon and 50K finishes, and the Marathon course is certified as a Boston qualifier. The event also has certified measures for 50-mile and 100-mile times based on exact lap counts.

Race options include multiple timed events and single-distance runs:

• 144 hour, 72 hour, 48 hour, 24 hour, 12 hour, and 6 hour timed races
• Marathon and 50K distances

The course is lit at night and uses electronic lap timing with a live display of laps and position. An ankle timing chip is issued at registration and must be worn while on course. One central aid station operates throughout the event, offering hot and cold food, vegetarian and vegan options, a walk-in refrigerator, and limited kitchen access for participant use; aid station food is not for crew and family. Toilets and shower facilities are available nearby, and heated bathrooms are on course. Camping is permitted on grassy areas with paid on-site options for tent and RV parking; electrical outlets are provided on poles. Pets on leash are allowed on the fairgrounds.
