About the race
The 3 Beaches Half Marathon Hebrides is a multi-terrain running event held on the Isle of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides. Participants can run solo or as pairs, starting on machair land behind the Dark Island Hotel. The scenic course passes three beaches: Liniclate, "Stinky Bay" (noted for its fresh seaweed aroma), and Culla Bay, where pairs can changeover at the 5-mile mark.
The route then continues on tarmac, finishing back at the Dark Island Hotel. The event offers prizes across various categories, medals, and water stations with both fresh and salty water.
