34th Annual 10K Foot Race & 5K Woodsmen's Walk
The event takes place at Adirondack Senior High in Boonville, NY, with the course routed on local streets and a section along the shoulder of NYS Route 294. Distances offered include:
- 10 km run
- 5 km walk
The 10K course starts near the high school bus garage and follows a loop that passes School Road, the football field area, Schuyler Street, Boone Street, Summit, Erwin, Post, West Street, Miller Road, and Lewis Road before returning along NYS Route 294 to the school entrance. The Woodsmen's Walk begins from the high school bus garage. A fun run for children 12 and under is held on the high school track during the 10K event.
Registration details and fees are tiered for the 10K: $25 before June 14, $30 through August 14, and $35 on race day. The Woodsmen's Walk has a flat fee of $10. Packet pickup is available at Adirondack Senior High on race day from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm; no registrations are accepted after 5:30 pm. Participants who pre-register may be eligible for awards; the first 150 10K pre-registrants receive awards. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers and to the first three finishers in each listed age group: under 15; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
Timing and results are provided by Leone Timing. Officials reserve the right to delay or cancel the events if weather conditions are dangerous. Parking is available in front of Adirondack Senior High School; participants are asked not to park on the grass. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
