100 Laps of Healing

The 100 Laps of Healing is a community event held at the Hillsborough High School Track. This event serves as a platform to support local families facing medical crises through the organization Steps Together. Participants contribute by completing laps around the track, with the collective goal of reaching a high total lap count. In previous years, participants have completed over 5,700 laps, totaling more than 1,400 miles.

The event is open to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Registration is free, though donations are accepted. Upon arrival, participants receive a bib that electronically tracks their completed laps. The track is divided into specific sections to manage the flow of participants:

  • Lanes 1-3 are reserved for runners.
  • Lanes 4-6 are reserved for walkers.

For safety and track maintenance, strollers and dogs are not permitted on the track unless they are medically necessary. The event also features trackside activities, including potential midfield performances and business sponsor displays. Refreshments such as water, sports drinks, and baked goods are typically available for participants, with any surplus items donated to the Hillsborough Food Bank. Participants can join as individuals or as part of social teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
