Event Overview
The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas is a running event held in The Woodlands, Texas. Organized by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, the event features a variety of distances held at Northshore Park. The main race is a 10-mile course that is USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned and certified.
Participants can choose from several different race options:
- 10-mile race (includes wheelchair, handcycle, and duo team divisions)
- 5 km (3.1 Armadillo Run)
- 1-mile kids' fun run (One 4 Texas)
The 10-mile and 5 km races are chip-timed and are recommended for participants aged 10 and older. The One 4 Texas event is an untimed, non-competitive 1-mile run designed for children aged 5 and up. All race distances are capped to manage participant volume.
The course is subject to a strict time limit of 16 minutes per mile. The finish line closes three hours after the start, at which point the roads are reopened to vehicular traffic. Participants who do not maintain the required pace may be shuttled to the finish area or diverted to the pathway system. Due to USATF requirements, strollers, dogs, bicycles, and in-line skates are not permitted on any of the courses. A post-race party for participants and their families follows the conclusion of the runs.
Registration is required in advance, as there is no registration available on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
