Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas
The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas is an annual October road race produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department that begins at Northshore Park. The event features three separate races and a post-race gathering with live music in the park.
Distances:
- 10-mile Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas
- 3.1-mile Armadillo Run 5K
- 1-mile One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run
The 10-mile course is USA Track and Field sanctioned and certified. The 10-mile and 5K are chip-timed and recommended for ages 10 and older. The One 4 Texas run is untimed, non-competitive, and recommended for ages 5 and up. All races will be capped to manage participant numbers and safety.
Course management includes a strict pace requirement of 16 minutes per mile to remain on course, a three-hour finish line closure, and rolling road reopenings. Five hydration stations are located along the courses. Medical staff from Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine will provide first-aid on course and at a medical tent in the post-race area. A secured bag drop is available and packet pickup provides a shirt and race bib; 10-mile participants receive a hat and shirt sizes are limited.
Prohibited on the course are animals, strollers, bicycles, roller skates, rollerblades, baby joggers, hand-crank chairs and other non-permitted wheeled devices. Awards are given in overall, masters, grand masters and age-group categories, and a wheelchair division is recognized. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
