Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas
The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas is a race day produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department held in October in The Woodlands. The event features three distances:
- 10-mile Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas
- 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K
- One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run (1 mile)
All races begin at Northshore Park and the 10-mile course is USA Track and Field sanctioned and certified. Events are chip-timed and all races will be capped to manage field size; the caps are 850 for the 10 mile, 500 for the 5K, and 200 for the kids run. The course enforces a 16 minutes per mile minimum pace and the finish line closes three hours after the start; participants falling behind may be diverted or transported to the finish area.
Support on course includes five hydration stations and medical staff from Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine, plus a red medical tent at the post-race area. Traffic control officers will be stationed along the route. Packet pickup occurs in the days before the race at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. The event concludes with a post-race party at Northshore Park with food, drink and live music.
