1 LT Welch Run For Our Heroes - Race Day
The Run for Our Heroes event takes place on April 25, 2026, at Olde City Park in downtown Wylie, Texas. Registration remains open through the day of the event; registrations submitted by April 11, 2026 will be eligible to receive an event t-shirt on race day.
Packet pickup and shirt distribution include two early pickup opportunities on Friday, April 24 at the Olde City Park pavilion at 112 N. Ballard Avenue, and on race day at Olde City Park. Bibs and shirts will be available for pre-registered participants and those who pre-order shirts.
Event programs and facilities listed for the day include:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Walk/Run
- Ruck March
The event also features a vendor fair and family activities in the park, live entertainment with performances by Blended and Jesse Watts, and a free Heroes brunch for military veterans, first responders, and their families. Both the 5K and 1 mile routes are on paved roadway. Downtown street parking is available along Ballard and surrounding streets, with additional parking across the street at The Cross Church of Wylie and Inwood National Bank.
