About the race
The Scheels BurliMOT event program includes multiple run options that travel between Burlington and downtown Minot, following the Souris Valley on dedicated running and biking paths and finishing in Citizens Alley. Distances offered: - Half Marathon - 13.1 miles - Half Marathon Relay (2 to 4 person) - 13.1 miles total - 5K - 5 kilometers - 1 Mile Walk/Run/Roll - 1 mile - Virtual 5K and Virtual Half Marathon options Details about logistics and services are provided for participants. Packet pickup is available at Oak Park on the Friday before the event and on race morning at Citizens Alley; morning pickup requires arriving early to reach the start. Bag drop is available at the 5K and half marathon start locations and items are transported to the finish for retrieval.
Limited shuttle buses transport participants from the finish area to the starts; space is limited with about 40 spots per load, so alternate transportation options are suggested. Aid and facilities include eight water stations along the half marathon course with Powerade at four stations, porta potties along the course, and restrooms at start and finish areas. The half marathon, 5K, and relay are chip timed with the chip attached to the bib; the 1 mile event is not timed. Shirts are provided to those registered for the half marathon, relay, or 5K by September 1. Medals are provided for half marathon, relay, and 5K finishers.
Prizes are awarded to top finishers in the half marathon and 5K with age category awards; the 1 mile event does not offer prizes. A post run event at the finish area features food trucks, an outdoor bar, yard games, and music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
