Events and Distances
The 21st edition of this major running event in the Polish capital features two primary distances:
- Half Marathon: A 21.0975 km race held on city streets.
- Bieg na Piątkę: A 5 km race held concurrently with the main half marathon.
The event holds the World Athletics Elite Label, indicating a high standard of organization and competitive level. It is a part of the Crown of Polish Half Marathons (Korona Półmaratonów Polskich), a series of the most prestigious races in the country.
Participant Information
A charitable participation path called #BiegamDobrze is available. This initiative allows runners to support one of ten partnered charitable organizations. Participants who reach a specific fundraising goal receive their starting bib as a gift.
Finishers of the races receive a commemorative medal. The organizer also offers event-themed t-shirts and gadgets through an online shop. For the half marathon distance, there are 24,000 spots available.
Logistics and Atmosphere
The course includes spectator zones and fan points to support the participants. Due to the scale of the races, temporary changes in road organization are implemented throughout the city. The event program includes a detailed schedule of times for different race components. Results from previous editions show high participation levels, with recent events hosting up to 100,000 people including runners and fans.
