Event Overview
The EDP Meia Maratona de Lisboa is a running event held in the capital of Portugal that features several distances and categories. The main course is a 21 km half marathon, which is part of the SuperHalfs international circuit. This circuit includes races in Berlin, Cardiff, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Prague, and Valencia. In addition to the primary race, the event schedule includes several other distances and activities:
- 21 km (Half Marathon)
- 10 km (Vodafone 10k)
- 7 km (Hyundai 7k)
- Mimosa Passeio da Família (Family Walk)
- EDP New Generation
The half marathon has a participant limit of 20,000 runners and a time limit of 3 hours.
Logistics and Participation
The half marathon course begins on the Ponte 25 de Abril and finishes at the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos in Lisbon. To reach the starting line on the bridge, participants must use the Fertagus trains and exit at Pragal station. Transport via Metro, buses, and trains to reach the Fertagus lines, as well as the Fertagus trains themselves, are free for participants who present their race bib. Access to the bridge is restricted to registered runners only.
The participation kit includes a technical T-shirt, a race bib with a timing chip, and an official bag. Kits must be collected at the Sport Expo located at the Lisbon Congress Center during the three days preceding the race. No kits are distributed on the day of the event. There is no wardrobe or bag storage service provided for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
