41. Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon
The Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon is an international running event held in the heart of the Hungarian capital. The flat and fast course passes through several World Heritage sites, offering runners a panoramic view of the city. The event attracts participants from hundreds of countries and serves as the opening event for the autumn running season in Budapest.
Multiple distances and categories are available to accommodate different preferences:
- 21.097 km: The classic individual half marathon distance.
- Half Marathon in Pairs: The 21.1 km distance completed by two runners in segments.
- Trio Half Marathon: The 21.1 km distance completed by a team of three runners.
- 10 km: A shorter individual race on a flat course.
- 2.3 km: The Lágymányos-kör, a shorter lap for those who want to experience the event atmosphere.
Participants receive a finisher's medal and a running T-shirt. For those completing their first half marathon or first 10 km race, a special additional bib is provided to encourage support from spectators. The route features musical points and cheering stations with various bands performing along the track. Charity opportunities are available during the registration process.
