Run Through History
The Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon by Brooks provides an opportunity for athletes to run through the city center of the Italian capital. The event includes two primary distances:
- 21.0975 km (Half Marathon)
- 5 km (Longevity Run)
The 21.0975 km course is designed to highlight various historical landmarks. Participants pass by sites such as the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, and Piazza Navona. This race has previously set records for the highest number of participants in an Italian half marathon.
The 5 km Longevity Run is a non-competitive event focused on health education and prevention. It takes place alongside a day of medical check-ups and wellness activities aimed at monitoring cardiovascular risk factors such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and BMI.
The event is part of an international half marathon tour that includes partner running clubs from Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, and Gothenburg. For the 2026 edition, standard registration has reached capacity quickly. Participation remains available through the official Charity Program, which allows runners to support various causes.
Accommodation options and official training days at Villa Borghese are also organized to help participants prepare for the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
