12th TUI Rhodes Marathon
The TUI Rhodes Marathon features a range of running events held on the island of Rhodes. Organized by the "Rhodes Marathon" non-profit in collaboration with regional and local authorities, the event includes multiple distances and a walking category.
The main marathon and half marathon follow a circular course. The marathon involves covering the 21.097 km loop twice. The route starts at Eleftherias Square and passes through several coastal and central locations, including Akti Sachtouri, Australia Street, the New Rhodes Ring Road, the Mandraki Marina, and Akti Miaouli. Most races start and finish at Eleftherias Square.
The following distances are available:
- Marathon (42.195 km): For participants aged 18 and over.
- Half Marathon (21.1 km): For participants aged 18 and over.
- 10 km Road Race: For participants aged 15 and over.
- 5 km Road Race: For participants aged 12 and over.
- 5 km Walking Route: Open to all.
- 600 m Race: For elementary school students born between 2015 and 2018.
Registration includes an official technical t-shirt, participation number, electronic timing, a commemorative medal, and medical services. Support stations providing water are located every 2.5 km. For longer distances, energy drinks, gels, and fruit are also provided at specific intervals. Time limits apply for all races: 6 hours for the marathon, 3 hours for the half marathon, 100 minutes for the 10 km, and 55 minutes for the 5 km.
