About the race
LOTTO 25. Poznań Maraton is a city marathon held in Poznań on 4 October 2026. The event is organised by the City of Poznań and Poznańskie Ośrodki Sportu i Rekreacji (POSiR) and takes place with start and finish at the Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie area.
The race distance is 42.195 km run as a single loop. The course has certifications from AIMS, World Athletics and PZLA. Every kilometre is marked and the route is closed to vehicular traffic until the published event limit. Chip timing is used via chips in the race numbers; timing checkpoints are located at start, 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km, half marathon, 25 km, 30 km, 35 km, 40 km and finish.
Aid stations are placed approximately every 5 km from the 5th kilometre and provide water at all stations; selected stations offer isotonic drinks, fruit and cola. Medical care is provided at start, on the route and at the finish. After the finish runners receive fruits and drinks in the finish area and a warm meal in the designated hall; the meal is provided free on presentation of the race number.
Key participation rules: minimum age 18 on race day; only runners and approved wheelchair athletes are allowed; helmets are mandatory for wheelchair and handbike competitors; visible front race numbers are required. The time limit for the marathon is 6 hours. Prize structure includes monetary awards for top general places and category prizes; all finishers within the time limit receive a medal.
