Maraton Warszawski
The Maraton Warszawski is a long-standing running event in Poland, held annually since 1979. The main marathon course covers a distance of 42.195 km and leads through the central districts of Warsaw. In addition to the full marathon distance, the event includes several other categories:
- 10 km (Warszawska Dycha)
- Mini Maraton for children and youth (50 m to 1200 m)
The event is part of the European Marathon Classics series, which includes eight marathons across Europe, and the Złota Seria, comprising the three largest Polish marathons. For runners aged 40 and older, the marathon serves as a qualifier for the AbbottWMM MTT Age Group World Championships 2025.
Participants can choose a charitable path called #BiegamDobrze. This initiative allows runners to support one of ten selected charity organizations and receive a starting number in exchange for funds raised. An EXPO Sport&Fitness is held alongside the races, and various fan zones with music and children's activities are set up along the route.
The event occurs over a weekend, with the children's races usually scheduled for the Saturday and the main races taking place on the final Sunday of September. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
