HBTC Club race and Wide Bay SS Trials
The event takes place at the Esplanade, Scarness QLD, Australia on Sunday 11 October 2026. It combines the HBTC club triathlon program with Wide Bay School Sports trials for junior athletes and includes separate triathlon and aquathlon races across multiple age categories.
Wide Bay School Sports trial age groups reflect age in 2027 for State and National competition; competitors must race in the correct age group. Entry windows and fees are listed by event, with an early registration period and a higher late-entry fee for entries after early closing.

- QSS Senior Aquathlon 500 m swim / 4 km run (17–19 years)

- QSS Junior Aquathlon 300 m swim / 2 km run (13–14 years)
- QSS Youth Aquathlon 1 km run / 200 m swim / 1 km run (11–12 years)
- QSS Multiclass Aquathlon 300 m swim / 2 km run (13–19 years)
- QSS Multiclass Youth Aquathlon 200 m swim / 2 km run (11–12 years)
- QSS Senior Triathlon 500 m swim / 15 km bike / 4 km run (17–19 years)
- QSS Intermediate Triathlon 500 m swim / 15 km bike / 4 km run (15–16 years)
- QSS Junior Triathlon 300 m swim / 10 km bike / 2 km run (13–14 years)
- Club races: Senior 750/20/5, Intermediate 375/10/2.5, plus team categories
