About the race
The Zurich Maratón de Sevilla is an organised road marathon held in Seville with associated events and services before and during race weekend. The organiser limits the number of marathon entries to 20,000 participants and stages a phased registration process with priority windows for past registrants. Registration for the 2027 edition follows four phases: a four day priority period for people registered in 2026, a four day priority period for those who were on the 2026 waiting list, a general public opening if places remain, and a waiting list once the 20,000 entries are sold out. The main inscription period runs from 9 April 2026 until 15 February 2027 or until available places are exhausted.
The 2027 race date is shown as 21/02/2027. The event publishes different price bands: special lower rates for residents of the province of Seville within specified dates, a general rate for non residents, and a higher waiting list fee if entries are claimed from the list. All prices include management fees; a separate RFEA day licence fee of 5 euros applies unless the participant holds a federative licence. The organiser offers an optional cancellation guarantee at a cost of 15 euros that allows a full refund of the inscription fee if claimed before 17 January 2027. Additional organised activities include a 5K Breakfast Run, a virtual marathon option, an expo, a pasta meal, children's races, and accreditation, medical and baggage services.
