About the race
La Zurich Marató Barcelona is a city marathon that covers 42,195 kilometres through Barcelona. The route runs through streets and past recognised architecture; the organiser describes it as an urban, flat and fast circuit designed for running in the city environment.
Bibs and timing chips are delivered in person at the event's Expo Sports in the days before the race. Collection takes place on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday prior to the event; same-day collection at the race is not available. A runner may authorise a third party to collect their bib and runner bag, provided the authorised person presents the runner's proof of registration and an identity document (digital ID is accepted). After bib collection, race shirts are handed out in strict order of arrival until stock and sizes run out; the organisation cannot guarantee a size. Failure to collect the bib and runner bag within the stated terms is considered a waiver.
The event is organised by RPM MKTG S.L., with a titled sponsor (Zurich) and a main sponsor agreement with HOKA for 2026–2030. Official timing partner is Garmin.
