Zuma 5k Run/Walk
The Zuma 5k Run/Walk is a community road event held in Montezuma, Ohio. The course begins at the Franklin Township Fire House (6805 OH-219, Celina), runs through the surrounding countryside with splits noted at the first and second mile, and finishes inside Zuma Park. Registration and packet pickup take place at the Shelter House at Zuma Park.
The event is the 34th annual Zuma 5k and is the opening race in the Mercer Health 5K Challenge, which comprises seven events running through August. The full challenge schedule lists Zuma (June 20), Country Fest (June 27), Redskin Classic (July 5), Shane’s Crossing (July 11), St. Clair (July 18), Lake Festival (July 25), and Buzzard’s Glory 5k (August 1).
Entry fees for 2026 vary by registration type: pre-registration without a shirt is $15 if completed by June 19, pre-registration with a shirt is $30 if completed by June 1, and race-day registration is $20 without a shirt. Participants aged 14 and under are free for 2026.
Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each age and gender division, including divisions for 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, and five-year age groups up to 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
