Overview
The Zoom RedHawk Triathlon & Multisport Festival is an endurance sports event held at Hueston Woods State Park in Oxford, Ohio. Located at the park's beachfront, the festival provides a variety of multisport options including triathlons, duathlons, aquabikes, aquathlons, open water swims, and standalone running races. The event also serves as a Mideast Collegiate Triathlon Conference race.
Course Details
The swim portion takes place in the lake at Hueston Woods State Park, with courses ranging from a 250m beginner swim to a 5k open water swim. Cycling segments utilize a clockwise loop on local roads with distances of 8 miles, 14 miles, 28 miles, or 42 miles depending on the chosen category. The run courses are out-and-back routes on paved surfaces, covering distances of 1.5 miles, 5k, 10k, or 9.3 miles.
Event Experience
Participants receive a finisher medal and a designer tee in gender-specific cuts. The festival features a post-race meal for athletes and spectators including items such as BBQ, hot dogs, and ice cream. Professional in-race photography is provided during the event, and results are submitted for USA Triathlon rankings in 5-year age group increments.
