Zombie Run 10K & 5K
Zombie Run 10K & 5K is a Halloween themed running event at Depena Reserve, Russell Avenue, Sandringham NSW, Australia on 24 October 2026. The event includes timed 10 km and 5 km races that use zombie pacers as target times; participants select a time to beat and are placed in waves based on that choice.
Beating the zombie pacer for a wave awards a SURVIVOR finishers medal. If the zombie pacer for a wave finishes before the participant, the participant receives a ZOMBIE/INFECTED medal. A separate 2 km Zombie Dash has no pacers and awards a zombie infected medal to finishers.
The event provides a free event t-shirt to the first 100 participants, with a tech shirt or tank upgrade available for a A$20 fee. All entrants receive a pack of zombie themed temporary tattoos. Zombie pacers are supported by Sydney Striders. The course is described as flat and fast, the event is professionally timed and managed, and it is conducted as a no-contact running event.
Entry transfer and refund rules are specified: transfers are possible up to one week before the event for an admin fee, distance changes are allowed up to race day, and refunds follow a sliding scale depending on how far in advance a refund is requested.
