Event overview
The Yuma Territorial Marathon offers multiple race options on January 31, 2026, at Cocopah Casino & Resort in Somerton, Arizona. Distances include:
- Full Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- Team Relay
All participants receive a technical fabric T-shirt and a finisher medal. Goodie bags are available to the first 300 participants who check in. Cash prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place individual male and female finishers in the Marathon and Half Marathon.
Course and logistics
The course is USATF certified and can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon. It is an out-and-back route run mainly on the shoulder of US Highway 95. The route passes through the Cocopah Indian Reservation, Somerton, Gadsden, and into San Luis before returning to finish at Cocopah Casino & Resort. The course has minimal elevation change, with an initial downhill of about 74 feet and a slight uphill near the finish.
Registration is available online and on-site. Packet pickup, shirts, and timing chips can be collected the Friday before the race or the morning of the event. Bicycles, strollers, unregistered runners, and drones (without written consent) are not allowed on the course. Entry fee categories include military and family discounts.
