Yuma Territorial Marathon and Half Marathon
The Yuma Territorial Marathon and Half Marathon is an organized road race held on January 30, 2027, at the Cocopah Resort and Casino in Somerton, Arizona. The event offers three distance divisions:
- Marathon (full)
- Half marathon
- 10K
The marathon course is certified by USATF and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The route is an out-and-back course with minimal elevation change; runners descend about 74 feet near the start and return uphill before the finish. Most of the course runs on the shoulder of a highway, and only registered participants are allowed on the course.
All participants receive an official technical fabric T-shirt and a finisher medal. Goodie bags are available to the first 300 checked-in participants. Awards and cash prizes are issued to the top three male and female finishers in both the marathon and half marathon categories. Race-day photographs are posted online after the event.
The race is organized by the Caballeros de Yuma, a local group that runs community events and supports charitable causes.
