Event information
The Yuma Territorial Marathon is organized by Caballeros de Yuma and takes place on January 31, 2026, in Somerton, Arizona. The race starts and finishes at Cocopah Casino & Resort and includes the following distances:
- Full Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- Team Relay (4 members, each runs one leg)
Entry fees are listed by category. The published amounts include a Full Marathon fee of $105, Half Marathon $65, 10K $45, and Team Relay $250 per team. Reduced fees are available for active military and immediate family members.
Course and logistics
The course is USATF certified and may be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon. It is an out-and-back route run mostly on the shoulder of US Highway 95. The route passes through the Cocopah Indian Reservation area and the communities of Somerton, Gadsden, and San Luis before returning to Cocopah Casino & Resort. The course has minimal elevation change, with a net downhill portion near the start and a slight uphill section approaching the finish.
Only registered runners are allowed on course; bicycles, strollers, and unregistered participants are not permitted. All participants receive a technical T-shirt and a finisher medal; goodie bags are available to the first 300 to check in. Cash prizes are awarded to top finishers in the Marathon and Half Marathon.
