Yuma Territorial Marathon and Half Marathon
The Yuma Territorial Marathon and related races take place in Somerton, Arizona at the Cocopah Resort and Casino on January 30, 2027. The event offers multiple race options:
- Full Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
The marathon course is USATF certified and can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon. The course is an out-and-back route with minimal elevation change; runners descend about 74 feet early on and return uphill by the finish. Much of the route is on flat roadway shoulders, and only registered runners are permitted on course. Bicycles, strollers, and unregistered participants are not allowed. Drones are prohibited without written consent from the host.
Participants receive a technical fabric T-shirt and a finisher medal. Goodie bags are available for the first 300 participants who check in. Awards and cash prizes are given to the top three individual male and female finishers in both the marathon and the half marathon. A race-day photo gallery and past race photos are posted online for personal download.
Packet pickup and on-site registration are available the day before the race and on race morning. The event is organized by a local group of businessmen who run community events and support charitable causes in Yuma. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
