Yukon River Trail Marathon
The Yukon River Trail Marathon is an annual race organized by the Boreal Adventure Running Association and held in Whitehorse. The event began in 1999 and takes place on the traditional territories of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council and the Kwanlin Dün First Nation.
The course starts on the Millennium Trail, then moves onto single-track to Kwanlin (Miles Canyon) and Canyon City. It continues on the Yukon River Trail toward Chadburn Lake, follows trails along Chadden Lake, Schwatka Lake, and Hidden Lakes, passes near the Whitehorse dam, returns to the Millennium Trail, and runs beside the Yukon river (Chu Níikwän) to the finish area. The route includes single-track and lakeside trail sections within the City of Whitehorse.
