Location and Course

Both races start and finish at the Young Life Building located at 2750 Sowega Drive in Columbus, Georgia. The 1 Mile Fun Run consists of a single loop around Britt David Park, finishing back at the building. A map for the 5K course is available online, noting a route that turns left from Vultee onto Ventura and right onto Stinson.

Registration and Inclusions

Standard registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile. Registration includes a t-shirt and entry to the pancake breakfast, which is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Prices increase after April 17, 2026. Registering by April 16 guarantees a t-shirt. Packet pickup is available at the Young Life Building on Friday, April 24, from noon to 6:00 PM.

Awards

An awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 AM. For the 5K, the top three overall male and female finishers receive engraved spatulas. Awards are also given for age groups from 14 and under up to 60+, as well as for the top male and female master runners. For the 1 Mile, medals are awarded to the top three finishers in two youth age groups, with the specific age split determined by registrations. All 1 Mile finishers receive a participation ribbon.

Purpose

The event is described as the fourth annual Flapjack run. Proceeds help send middle and high school students from Columbus to Young Life camps. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
