YMCA Fun Run and Sports Festival
The YMCA Fun Run and Sports Festival is held in Priory Park, Reigate. The event combines organised running races with a sports festival and an event village featuring food and drink stalls and free activity tasters from local sports clubs.
Racing options include:
- 5 mile adult race
- 1 mile adult and junior fun runs
The adult 5 mile follows a loop on local country lanes to the west of Reigate and returns to the finish in Priory Park; there is a water station on the route. The 1 mile races stay within the park on a flat route, including an anti-clockwise lap of the pond. Races start and finish on the grass to the south of Reigate Priory School.
Entry includes a bespoke YMCA technical race t-shirt and a commemorative medal for all participants. Results are timed by Results Base with both gun time and chip time recorded; results are searchable by race number, name or club. Photographs from the event are available for free download and may be used in event materials.
The sports festival area includes a central arena for displays, a climbing wall, a bouncy castle and activity passports for children to collect stamps and claim a prize on the day. A limited number of funded places for families in receipt of benefits are provided by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and require proof of entitlement and residency.
