YMCA Charity 5K
The YMCA Charity 5K takes place on September 26, 2026 at Downsview Park, 15 Carl Hall Road, North York, Ontario. The event is organized by the YMCA of Greater Toronto and aims to raise funds to send over 1,300 children to YMCA camps, with a fundraising goal of CA$500,000 and a current amount shown of CA$23,906.66.
The event distance is 5K on paved park paths. The course is an out and back route with the start and finish located at the Festival Terrace / Circuit Path, where pre and post event activities take place. Official timing uses the BibTag system and results will be published by Chiptime Results. Runners must wear their bib on the front for timing; without a bib no time will be recorded.
Entry includes a souvenir T shirt, finisher medal, a personalized bib if registered by the stated deadline, access to the post run celebration, official race timing, and taxes and processing fees. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable, though transfers to another participant are allowed for a CA$10 administration fee until the specified deadline.
Run kit pickup is available at the North York YMCA on September 24 and 25 and at the Festival Terrace on race day. Round trip shuttle buses run from select YMCA locations for a fee. Medical personnel, a medical tent, water stations and portable toilets are provided. Children must be 6 years or older to register and children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
