YMCA Charity 5K at Downsview Park
The event is the third annual YMCA Charity 5K, held at Downsview Park in Toronto on September 26, 2026. The course is an out and back 5 km route on paved park paths with start and finish at the Festival Terrace / Circuit Path.
Entry includes a souvenir T shirt, a finisher medal, and a personalized run bib if registration is completed by Monday, September 14, 2026. Online registration closes on September 25, 2026 and entry fees are non refundable; transfers to another participant are permitted through the event's transfer process before the transfer deadline.
Round trip shuttle bus service is offered from select YMCA locations for a fee of CA$10 per person; pickup locations are selected during registration. Free on site parking is available at John Drury Drive from Sheppard Avenue West and at Carl Hall Road. The park is also accessible via Downsview Park GO/TTC Station, Sheppard West and Finch West stations and several bus routes.
Race timing uses a BibTag system integrated into the run bib. Water and an aid station are available on course, and a medical tent and medical personnel on bicycles will be positioned for participant safety. Fundraising supports the YMCA of Greater Toronto goal to raise CA$500,000 to send over 1,300 children to YMCA camps; CA$12,888.07 has been raised so far.
