Yankee Doodle Dash 5K - Shippensburg
The Yankee Doodle Dash is a 5 kilometer out-and-back road race held on July 4, 2026 at Shippensburg Memorial Park in Shippensburg, PA. The course starts on the road behind the football stadium, runs between the Middle School and High School, continues behind the High School into the Volvo parking lot, and returns to finish in the park.
This event is part of the Cumberland Valley Race Series and proceeds benefit the Shippensburg America 250 Committee. The race is chip timed by Timber Hill Timing; finish times are taken from timing chips and awards are determined by gun time. Runners are required to wear timing chips on their shoes and bib numbers on their chests to receive a time and to be eligible for awards.
Awards include first overall male and female plus age group places, with two places awarded in each listed age division. Course records are noted for male, female, masters male, and masters female categories.
Entry fees vary by registration period. Registrations received by June 19 include a guaranteed race t-shirt. Online registration closes on July 3 and limited race day registration may be available with a higher fee and potential extra t-shirts.
