Wyoming Pure 5K Ranch Run
The Wyoming Pure 5K Ranch Run takes place in Wheatland, Wyoming, on 10/10/2026, with the venue at 621 Slater Rd. The course starts at the Wyoming Pure building and follows a mixture of pavement, gravel road, and two-track trails through pasture and working cattle ground.
Runners head west on Slater Rd. (paved) for about 3/4 of a mile, then south on a dirt road for about 3/4 of a mile, continue west on a two-track road, turn around, and return northeast through pasture back down Slater Rd. The route passes cattle and horses and offers prairie views with Laramie Peak visible in the distance.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Marge Cares Foundation and the Wheatland Cross Country Team for middle and high school athletes. All participants receive a participant goodie bag, and those registered before September 15 will receive a t-shirt. Children under 12 receive a $5 discount. Awards are given to the top three finishing males and the top three finishing females, and door prizes are available to all participants.
Registration opens 6/22/2026 and closes 9/20/2026; the registration fee is $30. Registration fees are non-refundable. The event will be held rain or shine except in the case of severe weather or unsafe conditions, and an alternate route may be used if necessary.
