Event overview

The Worlds End Ultramarathon is a single-day trail race held in Forksville, PA (82 Cabin Bridge Rd, Forksville, PA 18616). The event offers two single-loop ultramarathon distances:

  • 63.8 miles (100k), predominantly single-track/double-track (about 95%)
  • 31.4 miles (50k), predominantly single-track/double-track (about 98%)

Registration opens December 6, 2025 at 6:00 pm EST. The 100k and 50k both run on trails in Worlds End State Park, Loyalsock State Forest and the Loyalsock Trail.

Course details and services

The routes run on rugged, technical trails with frequent shorter climbs and significant overall elevation gain. The 100k has roughly 12,000 feet of elevation gain; the 50k has about 5,800 feet. The course passes overlooks, rock formations, ponds, narrow gorges and several named waterfalls and cascades. The 100k includes 13 aid stations, four crew-accessible aid stations, and three designated pacer exchange locations. The 50k includes six aid stations; no crew access or pacers are permitted for that distance. Time limits apply for each race.

Post-race provisions include a range of foods such as soups, chili, pulled pork, burgers and options for vegetarian and vegan participants. The event is staged in remote, scenic terrain along marked trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
