Wondai Country Running Festival
The Wondai Country Running Festival is an annual two-day running event held in Wondai, Queensland. The 9th edition takes place on 27 and 28 June 2026. The festival was founded in 2018 and is based around the centre of Wondai township and the South Burnett Rail Trail.
Events run across sealed rail-trail surfaces and cross-country forest trails. Start points are on the rail trail behind the Wondai Town Hall and are within walking distance of the town centre. Road crossings on the rail trail are staffed by the SES. First aid, regular toilet facilities and drink stations are provided on course.

- 1 km All Abilities race
- 2 km Family Fun Run
- 5 km Rail Trail
- 10 km Rail Trail
- 21.1 km McEuen Forest Trail
- 11.1 km McEuen Forest Trail
- Marathon and Half marathon
Saturday features shorter community runs in the morning and two forest trail options in the afternoon that start from the rail trail and pass through McEuen forest. Sunday races use the fully sealed South Burnett Rail Trail. Bib collection is available on Friday and Saturday with Sunday pickup by arrangement. Festival apparel is available for preorder and can be collected with race packs; apparel orders close 30/04/26.
Organisers offer a local produce gift for participants who complete a Saturday afternoon forest trail and a Sunday run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
