Wondai Country Running Festival - Race information
The Wondai Country Running Festival is a two-day running event in Wondai, Queensland, held on 27 and 28 June 2026. Events use two main surfaces: cross-country forest trails through the McEuen forest and the sealed bitumen South Burnett Rail Trail that runs behind the Wondai Town Hall. All events start in the centre of Wondai township and start points are within walking distance of the town centre. Road crossings on the rail trail are managed by the SES. First aid, regular toilet facilities and drinks stations are available on courses.
Race options are spread across Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, plus short community events on Saturday morning. Competitors who complete both a Saturday forest trail and a Sunday rail-trail event receive a gift of local produce. The longer forest trail event is included on the Trail Runners Association of Queensland calendar.
Bib collection is available on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday collection by arrangement. Festival apparel is offered for preorder and can be collected with race packs on festival weekend; orders close 30/04/26. Registration fees vary by distance and by booking period. Previous race results are available for years back to 2018. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
