About the race
The Women's 5km Walk/Run in Launceston is an annual event organised by Cancer Council Tasmania that features a 5 km route starting and finishing at Launceston City Park. The course runs through streets of Launceston and returns to City Park. Participants may take part in the physical event in Launceston or join virtually from anywhere in Tasmania. The event is scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2026.
It encourages health awareness across the community and raises funds for Cancer Council Tasmania programs, including transport2treatment, complementary therapies and prevention education. All funds raised through the event remain in Tasmania to support local services. The event is open to a wide range of ages and abilities, and participants are encouraged to wear pink. It is a smoke free event.
