Wolf Creek Canyon Relay
The Wolf Creek Canyon Relay is an athletic event held in Wolf Creek, Montana. The course covers a total distance of 28 miles through the terrain of Wolf Creek Canyon. This distance is divided into four specific legs, with each leg featuring chip timing services provided by Competitive Timing to record progress at each exchange point.
Participants have multiple options for completing the 28 miles:
- Solo (individual runners)
- Two Person Team
- Four Person Relay Team
- Military Relay Team (requires military background)
- Eight Person Relay Team
The eight person team format is designed to allow participants to divide each leg between two runners, resulting in segments of approximately 3.5 miles instead of the full 7 miles per leg. While the four primary legs are chip timed, additional splits created by optional mid-leg hand-offs within eight person teams are not recorded by the timing system.
Each participating team is responsible for the transport and coordination of its members throughout the race distance. Every individual runner is required to pay an entry fee to receive event materials and timing services. Faster teams and slower teams have the option to begin at different intervals to accommodate varying completion times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
