Wings for Life World Run : QE Olympic Park London
The Wings for Life World Run App Run takes place at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on May 10, 2026, with the local meeting area near Brew Street Cafe. The event is open to runners and wheelchair participants and the venue is accessible for wheelchair use.
This format has no fixed finish line. Participants use the Wings for Life World Run mobile app to take part while a Virtual Catcher Car pursues the field. The Virtual Catcher Car departs 30 minutes after the race start at 14 km/h and steadily increases speed until all participants are caught.
The local course follows an approximately 2.5 km loop around the park. On-site arrangements include a refreshment station, local race setup, timing and race numbers. Wheelchair participants are explicitly included in the event setup.
One hundred percent of donations and entry fees collected for the event go directly into spinal cord research projects.
