Event Details
The Wings for Life World Run is a global running event that uses a unique race format. Participants run using a mobile app. The run starts from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, near Brew Street Cafe. The event is accessible for wheelchair participants.
The Race Format
Runners and wheelchair athletes start together at a designated time. A virtual "catcher car" begins pursuit 30 minutes after the start. The goal for each participant is to run as far as possible before the catcher car overtakes them, which marks the end of their race.

The course begins at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. There is a local refreshment station and setup. The event is classified as an "App Run," meaning participants follow the course via the official mobile app.
