Wings for Life World Run - Nottingham UoN Park Campus
Wings for Life World Run at Nottingham UoN Park Campus is an app-based race that starts and finishes at David Ross Sports Village on the University of Nottingham campus. Participants run while staying ahead of a Virtual Catcher Car that begins after the race start at an initial speed of 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until all participants are caught. The event is accessible for wheelchair participants and uses a mobile app for participation and timing.
The course passes through campus and public green space, including tree-lined paths in Highfields Park, a loop around the lake, and a section past the Trent Building before returning to David Ross Sports Village. Local refreshment stations are provided during the event. Organizer information and local setup details are provided by the event team.
All donations and entry fees are directed to spinal cord research projects. The event lists a range of possible course distances, and timing and race number arrangements are managed by the local setup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
