Windsor Half Marathon
The Windsor Half Marathon is an annual road race held on the last Sunday in September, with the 2026 event on 27 September at Windsor Great Park. The start and finish are on the Long Walk, with Windsor Castle as a backdrop. The course is run over two laps.
The event is organised under UK Athletics rules. Entrants must be amateur and at least 17 years old on race day. Race numbers are issued to the individual named on the entry and transfers are allowed through the registration system; the deadline for transfers is 31 August 2026. Entry fees are non-refundable; a limited deferral option for pregnancy is described in the event terms.
Race rules prohibit wheeled vehicles, dogs and following cycles on the course. Personal audio devices are permitted but the organisers advise against in-ear headphones so runners can hear marshals and vehicles; bone conduction headphones are mentioned as an acceptable alternative. Race marshals and medical staff may remove any runner they consider dangerous or unfit to continue.
The course measurement follows UK Athletics procedures using the shortest possible route measurement, so individual GPS distances may differ from the official course distance.
