Event details
The Winchester Triathlon is scheduled for 25 May 2026 at Kings School, Winchester, organised by TryTri. The event uses a pool swim, a countryside bike route and a run through the city green spaces. The headline sponsor is the National Farmers Union Mutual. The race includes adult and junior formats and takes place on site at the school grounds.
Distances
- Sprint: 400m pool swim, 22km bike (flat, 2 laps), 5km run.
- Novice: 200m pool swim, 11km bike (flat, 1 lap), 2.5km run.
- Junior: 100m pool swim (0.9–1.2m deep), 2km bike across grass, 1km run; ages 8 and up.
Race procedures and facilities
Registration is at Race HQ in the Sports Centre main hall; photo ID is required to collect race packs. Competitors receive a timing chip to be worn on the left ankle and race number stickers for bike, helmet and transition items. Competitors must attend at least one briefing. Parking is free but limited and toilets are located in the main sports building. There is no formal baggage storage; small items may be left in Transition at the owner’s risk. Water station locations and catering details are provided in participant packs. Medical and first aid cover are positioned at various points on the course.
