Chord Energy Williston Marathon : 4th Annual
The 4th Annual Chord Energy Williston Marathon takes place in Williston, North Dakota, on a course held at Williston Basin International Airport. Part of the route uses the airport runway, and all events start and finish at the Overland Aviation building on the airport campus. There is on-site parking and designated areas for spectators.
The event is organized as a non-profit and proceeds are directed to Upper Missouri Relay For Life in Williston, a fundraising effort run through the American Cancer Society to support local patient care and related needs.
Distances offered:
- Marathon : 26.2 Miles
- Half Marathon : 13.1 Miles
- 10K : 6.2 Miles
- Purple Power 5K Run/Walk : 3.1 Miles
The course is USATF certified and is a Boston Qualifier. Timing is provided via chip timing by Competitive Timing. Packet pickup is available the day before at the Williston Area Recreation Center and on race day at the event tent at the start line. All registered runners for the listed events receive a 2025 finisher medal and an event t-shirt.
Support along the routes includes marked signage, volunteer direction, restrooms at the start and on course, and six water stations on the marathon and half marathon routes offering water, electrolytes, light refuel items, and basic first aid. Strollers are not allowed in the 10K, half marathon, and marathon. Animals are not permitted unless they are service animals. A post-run finish area is provided for participants and spectators.
