Chord Energy Williston Marathon
The Chord Energy Williston Marathon is a community road race held at Williston Basin International Airport in Williston, North Dakota. All events start and finish at the Overland Aviation building on the airport campus. The event lists ample parking and areas for spectators near the start and finish.

The marathon course uses airport runways and surrounding roads; marathon runners complete two loops of the published marathon route. Route maps will be available online, at packet pickup, and at the event table. The marathon and half marathon routes include six water stations with electrolytes, basic first aid, and light refuel options. Restrooms are available at the start line and on the marathon/half route; the 5K and 10K have restrooms at the start/finish only.
This nonprofit event directs proceeds to Upper Missouri Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society; funds support local patient care, travel expenses for patients, and items provided at the local cancer treatment center. All registered participants receive a finisher medal and event t-shirt; registration by May 10, 2026 is required to receive a shirt. Strollers are not allowed in the marathon, half marathon, or 10K.
