Wiley Canyon Ultra is a race day in Lexington, Nebraska that includes a roughly 35 miles ultramarathon plus shorter runs. Distances offered:

• 35 miles out-and-back ultramarathon on rural roads
• 10K on paved and gravel roads
• 5K on paved and gravel roads

All distances start and finish at Kirkpatrick Memorial Park. The ultra course leaves town and runs north through Wiley Canyon. Roads transition from blacktop to gravel, with a short section on a minimum maintenance road. Aid stations for the ultra are placed about every 4 to 5 miles and provide Tailwind Nutrition endurance fuel, water, and snacks; there are no aid stations for the 5K or 10K. One drop bag is allowed at the halfway aid station (about mile 17) and must be clearly labeled with the runner’s name and bib number. The ultra is self-supported: outside crew or cached supplies on course are not allowed.

Safety and equipment rules include required shoes for all runners and required headlamps for ultra runners when running before sunrise (200 lumen minimum). Runners must follow the rules of the road, stay to the right, stay on or next to the road, and avoid littering.
