46th Annual Wild Goose Chase - Vanderhoof Community Foundation Fundraiser
The 46th Annual Wild Goose Chase takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Vanderhoof, British Columbia. The event is organized by the Nechako Nordics Ski Club and serves as a fundraiser for the Vanderhoof Community Foundation. Registration closes at midnight on Thursday, May 7, 2026. There are no late or day of registrations.
All registered runners and walkers must participate on foot. Strollers, bikes, scooters and similar are not permitted for registered runners or walkers. If a participant brings a person in a stroller, that person must be added to the registration and a waiver completed. Age is calculated as of December 31, 2026.
Distances offered
- 3.5 km run with male and female age categories, from 8 and under to 60 plus
- 8 km run with male and female categories for ages 16 and up, 65 minute time limit
- 5 km walk only with no jogging or running allowed, 65 minute time limit
Awards include 25 dollars and new running socks for overall male and female winners in each race, medals for the top three in each age category, medals for all youth age 8 and under, and numerous door prizes.
