About the race
Wien Rundumadum is an experience trail run around Vienna scheduled for 7 November 2026. It is explicitly organised as an Erlebnislauf and not as a competition; the focus is on the pleasure of trailrunning and experiencing nature rather than on racing.
The organisers apply a voluntary limit of a maximum of 500 participants in total, counting all individual and relay entries. This limit is intended to reduce impact on the natural areas and wildlife along the route and to avoid large groups moving through forested sections.
The event offers multiple individual and team formats:
- 130 km individual
- 88 km individual
- 61 km individual
- 42 km individual
- 130 km relay
- 61 km relay
The course follows the Wien Rundumadum hiking trail and passes a variety of urban and natural locations mentioned by the organisers, including Uno City, Donauinsel, the Lainzer Mauer area, the Liesing valley, Wienerberg and Laaer Hügel, Zentralfriedhof, the Lobau and the Bisamberg region. Support and logistics information on the event website includes a start/finish map, seven feeding stations (Station 7 at the finish), route book and signage, GPS tracker, dropbags, check-in and participant backpack, schedule and cutoff times.
